Days Inn Complaint - Kicked Out - Hotel Stay
JACKSONVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA -- It was by far the worst stay I have ever had at a motel, and to take the cake they kicked my husband and our stuff out of the room on our final day 12/04/09. I had informed the front desk upon arrival 12/01/09 that we would probably not make their check-out time on Friday and if that meant paying for another day it was not an issue. I also did not have a problem paying a pet deposit.
I was in a training class while this happen and my Husband didn't have a way to get a hold of me or a car to go anywhere.
The first room we were in had mold growing in the wall where there had been a previous leak (they apparently fixed the leak but did not check for mold). The second room we were put in the toilet was loose at the floor, wallpaper was peeling off one wall and the bedspread had a cigarette burn in it. We had already changed rooms once and I hate being a bother so we chose to stay and tough it out.
When I called the corporate customer service the only response I've gotten was a 20% discount for our next stay at the motel in Jacksonville. Problem is I will never stay at that motel again and because of this I will never stay in any Days Inn motel again since this appears to be their customer satisfaction policy.
