United Parcel Service Complaint - Did not visit yet claimed "Not at Home" - We were at home, waiting for them.
We were waiting for a special delivery on the day before our holiday. We specifically stayed home (two people) waiting for the UPS driver. We waited, and waited and waited. The driver never showed up. We checked the online status and it said, "Delivery attempted - not home" or something along those lines. We called UPS and let them know we had been home all day waiting for the driver and, furthermore, not notice was left on our door. As we were leaving in the AM for our trip, we were told to come to the warehouse at a specific time ( I think it was 7PM) and we could sign for and pick up our package then. I went and asked for the package. It wasn't there. The driver hadn't returned and they had no idea when he would. I said I could wait for 20 minutes or so. No driver still. I asked them to return the item to the seller as it was no use now since we had ordered the item to take on our holiday and no one would home to accept it anyway. If I had a choice, I would never use UPS again. I also wondered if drivers are behind if the purposefully skip certain areas to make up time and file "Delivery Attempted slips" when in fact they never attempted delivery. I didn't get a straight answer from UPS.
