Old Navy Complaint - Employees
I keep seeing a lot of people complaining about the employees at the store. It's not always the employees fault. Here's the training process for working at Old Navy. You watch a couple videos about the company. Then they throw you on the floor to the lions. They don't show you what to do, they don't tell you what to do, or anything else they let you figure it out on your own. The great part is that when someone asks for help and you have no idea because they never trained you. I'm not saying this is the case for everyone. There are some people who work there that are incompetent and I have no idea how they keep their job. Sometimes people just are sick of the store and have no other options than to work there. Like when you make less than $8/hr you just stop caring. When you realize your manager does nothing but sit on their rear all day and they make more than you it makes it hard to be motivated to work. Or when said manager breathes down your neck all day and tells you "you're moving too slow you should be done fixing this by now" even though you've been helping out customers all this time and they've been doing nothing but walking around telling people to move faster, you lose motivation to work. Just something to keep in mind when you write about how awful the employees at a place are. We are people too.
