John Deere Company Informative - STARTING A L110 - JOHN DEERE L110

JOHN DEERE L110
Review by BIG DADDY RAY on 2009-12-28
ILLINOIS -- I BOUGHT A JOHN DEERE L110 WITH A BRIGS & STRATON MOTOR. THE LAST YEAR I HAVE BEEN HAVING TO START IT WITH A BOOSTER JUMP. I WAS TOLD IT WOULD COST ABOUT $150 TO FIX IT. I'AM NOT WOORKING, SO I START IT WITH THE BOOST. BEFORE I FOUND OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS, I BOUGHT A NEW BATTERY, STARTER SOLENOID, AND HAD THE STARTER CK'D. NOW I WAS TOLD DEERE HAD A BIG PROBLEM WITH THEESE MOTORS ABOUT THE EXHAUST VALVE NEEDING ADIUSTED.
DEERE EVEN REPLACED MOTORS BECAUSE OF THIS. NOW I FIND OUT IT WOULD COST A
HALF HOR SHOP TIME TO ADJUST THE EXHAUST VALVE. AFTER ALL THIS TIME, I GUESS I FIND OUT THE REAL PROBLEM. NICE GOING JOHN DEERE......

Did you buy this used? According to their web site, this model came with a Kohler engine, not a Brigs and Stratton.
