Frigidaire Complaint - Frigidaire piece of crap...
We purchased our refrigerator on 1/8/07. It's been less than 3 years and now it doesn't cool. I don't care that I didn't purchase the extended warranty, I shouldn't have ANY problems with a refrigerator that's only 3 years old. Frigidaire will not help me without the warranty and I think their refusal to stand behind their product speaks volumes.
I will never buy Frigidaire again! What a waist of $800 plus the cost of repairs. Lucky for me I was able to get a local appliance repair company agree to come out tomorrow, but $65 just to look at it...ouch!
UPDATE: I had an appliance service technician out to my home on 12/29 and after looking over the refrigerator he determined there was a freon leak and that it was running out of freon. The refrigerator side is warm now too. He also stated that he thought Frigidaire covered sealed components for up to 5 years. I asked him if there was anything that I had done to have caused this and he stated that it was nothing I could have done to cause the issue and that it was from the manufacturing being of poor quality.
I then contacted Frigidaire and they stated the sealed components were not covered that they only cover sealed components for the 5 year period for models built in 2005 or prior. I then asked to speak to a supervisor and she stated that I would have to wait for them to call me back and that I would get a call back the next day...I'm not holding my breath.
At this point we've decided to cut our losses and have purchased a whirlpool refrigerator. We are shopping around for extended warranties, the store give us 30 days to make a decision.
Overall I'm very disappointed with Frigidaire and their unwillingness to stand behind their product. I paid $800 for a refrigerator that only lasted 3 years due to the poor workmanship of Frigidaire.
