Progressive Auto Insurance Complaint - High Premium Hike
Progressive just raised our insurance by $815 for 6 months for 4 vehicles because we moved and started renting instead of buying a home. This is after we lowered all our limits and raised deductibles. I know they were not giving us that as a discount for living in a rural area and buying our home before it is purely a ripoff. What does my buying or renting or even my credit have to do with my driving? My agent brought up some bogus information that the people who lived in this house before were terrible drivers, are they using that against me too? Seems like they will do anything to rip you off. We have been with them for 10 years filed 2 small claims over 4 years ago and this is how we are thanked! Is should be illegal for them to have any other information other than driving history or accidents to rate you for insurance.
