ShoesUnder Complaint - I gave junk for Christmas because of false advertising!!!

Review by falseadvertisingsux on 2009-12-29
FAIRFIELD, NEW JERSEY -- I bought 3 of these to give as Christmas gifts, only to find out too late that they were nowhere near the quality advertised on TV!! They are flimsy all the way around, only some cheap material between the sections, and when filled with shoes they are extremely difficult to move from under the bed and back. I am so disappointed and embarrasssed that I gave these for gifts after relying on the pictures and description in the commercial, which showed a sturdy product with board-like dividers that moved in and out from under the bed with total ease because of the sturdiness. This is a total lie!

Good to know, but it's a good lesson learned. What you see on those infomercials is usually not too close to reality. I would never give an "as seen on TV" product as a serious gift unless I had an opportunity to use it myself first.

This is the item where you get 2 for $10 plus shipping, correct? What kind of quality did you really expect with that kind of price point?

As PT Barnum, once said, "There's a ..........!"
I could tell that those things were krap even on the commercial!

It's not a total lie, its marketing. Have you seen how nice Big Macs look on TV commercials?

Mmmmmm...Big Mac...

You would have been better off buying a flat plastic Rubbermaid or Sterilite container, storing shoes in there, and storing it under the bed. A lot cheaper, and holds more shoes, than that Shoes Under.

Why would anyone want a Shoes Under as an Xmas present anyway. I can't think of one person on my list who would want it, let alone 3 people.
