McDonald's Corporation Complaint - Theft - Wallet was taken
SHREVEPORT, LOUISIANA -- On January 2, 2010, 3:00 pm, I went to the McDonald's at 1635 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, Shreveport, LA 71118. After ordering & eating my food I realized my wallet was not in my purse. I went to the counter & asked the cashier if anyone had found it & she said after hesitating, "Yes they found it in the ICE CREAM MACHINE & he is washing it off now." I didn't understand what it was doing in the ice cream machine in the first place! Anyway a man gave me my wet wallet wrapped in paper towels & said, "We were fixing to come to see if we could find you." I was so schocked I went & sat down & preceded to clean up my wallet. It was full of ice cream. I had pictures of my son that passed away in 2005 & CAN NOT BE REPLACED!! My SS card was ruined. All business cards & other pictures were ruined & I had to throw them away. By this time I was furious & went up to the counter & asked the cashier why was my wallet in the ice cream machine & she said someone put it up there & it must have fallen in. THen a man came up & I asked him how my wallet got from the counter & into the ice cream machine in just 20 minutes. He said someone put it up there & when someone checked the ice cream machine it must have fallen in. I really couldn't believe all of this is happening. I realized that I was not going to be told the truth & no one even tried to apologize to me!!!! I have never been treated like that anywhere & it is so very obvious that one of the employees took it & hid it in the ice cream machine. THank goodness there was no credit cards or money in it. THere porbably won't be anything done about this incident. It probably happens all of the time, who knows. I just wanted to inform you what happened. THose pictures of my son meant the world to me. Maybe you need to screen your employees better or something. I guess that is all I have to say. BUt I do learn from my mistake. You will not ever catch me or my family or friends in any of your McDonald's in the future. But that probably doesn't matter either.
