Vericore Complaint - harrasment
This week my husband was contacted by Vericore. They have been hired by a local Tire company to collect funds. The problem is the charges they say we owe are not charges we authorized nor is there any signature saying that we purchased the items. Over a year ago my brother-in-law purchased some tires and charged them to our account , at a store 150 miles from where we live.
Vericore is saying that it is still up to us to pay the bill, and that they are checking into what assests we have, talking about us being forced to file bankruptcy because they are going to join forced with other creditors that we owe ( which is false becasue we have no judgements against us).
Are they just blowing smoke or can they legally file any judgement, or repos any assets, for a purchase that we didn't buy, ask for, or sign for? They don't even have a signature from my in-law who actually purchased these items.
I understand why Vericore was hired, I would be mad if I were the Tire Company and out of lots of money. But I don't think that we should be held liable.
