Store #0955 Complaint - Gift Fuel Card - Gift Gas Fuel

APOPKA, FLORIDA -- January 04, 2010

To whom it may concern:
I purchase on the 12/26/2009, 3 Gift Fuel Card and 1 Gift Card from Wal-Mart Store #0955, at the City of Apopka, Fl, 32703. Believing that Apopka Store, was selling Gas Fuel. At the end of the day to delivery the Gift Fuel Card to my relatives. They request me where they could purchase the Fuel at Apopka Wal-Mart. And I call the 12/27/2009 and spoke with a Floor Supervisor Mr. James. And he explains me the Apopka Wal-Mart do not sale Gas Fuel. And I told him, “Why the Store selling this Gift Fuel Card to the People”. His statement was they have stores far away from the City of Apopka that do have Gas Fuel for sale. My only reason to buy the Gift Fuel Card, was for the relatives can get the Fuel at the Apopka Wal-Mart. "Not to drive 40 miles to get Fuel". Mr. James apologizes about that. But, when he told me to bring the Gift Fuel Card, back to get a Gift Card Regular. Mr. James and the Assistant Store Manager Mrs. Marisol, (Spanish Lady) made wait at 1 hr. or more. To make that correction of the Gift Card, exchange. And I did request a compensation for the time that I wait to get the correction done. [NO WAS A LINE, I WAS THE ONLY IN THE LINE.] And I believe they should take care the waiting time and compensate me with a reward. As follow is the References Number: 0103045-0209572-0209846-0211268///Acct. Ref. No. 9360000719219, 12/26/2009 Purchase Date. Store No. 0955
Mrs. Marisol, state "That do not apply not compensation at all for the mex". What are your comments? Does I should be compensate for the waiting time?

Sincerely yours,
Miguel A. San Antonio

compensation for waiting in line? really? What is the value of one hour of your time?

Wow, first of all the lack of fuel pumps at the Walmart should have tipped you off that they do not sell gas. Second, you don't get paid for waiting in line. If that were the case, I would be rich since I am always waiting in some kind of line. Be happy that they were willing to let you trade the gas cards for the regular gift cards and just move on. You do not get a "reward" for everything in life.

Not all Walmarts sell gas, unless you saw gas pumps out front it's your fault for assuming things. They agreed to swipe them out which was nice of them, and then you have the nerve to ask for COMPENSATION for standing in line??? I'm sorry, but that's down right rude and ignorant.

Seems like this OP just needs to go back to school on lessons of life.

While slightly different, the Walmarts in my area sell gift cards to Red Lobster. There is not a single Red Lobster in my state. They carry them because there are Red Lobsters elsewhere, so I could buy one and send it to a relative who lives near one.

However, I think the store should make it pretty clear (for those who don't notice a lack of gas pumps in the lot) if they are selling a WM/Sams gas card at their store that they don't have gas. Either via signage (which is usually ignored anyway) or at the point of sale. I still don't think they owe you any compensation.

The mistake was yours, but they corrected it. And you expect compensation? Let us know how that works out for you.
