JCPenneys.com Complaint - Very dissatisfied with delivery time and shipping errors
OHIO -- I ordered a couple of Christmas gifts for my family online at JC Penneys.com and the whole online shopping experience with JC Penneys was a total disappointment! My packages didn’t come together, one was shipped on time, and the other was shipped from their supplier and took a month to ship! The ad said that it was in stock, yet it took a month to ship, long after Christmas day! I ordered on December 7th and today I discovered that it was finally delivered on January 4th, TO THE WRONG ADDRESS! To make the matter even worse, they delivered the first shipment to the same WRONG ADDRESS due to a poorly designed online ordering form where they had a prior address saved. I called TWICE, a couple of weeks apart, to make sure they corrected the error and didn’t make the mistake with the second shipment. They still delivered it to the wrong address. A customer service representative told me that if I am not able to recover my merchandise from the family where it was delivered they would try to re-submit the order and send another to my correct address.
I believe they will try to make it right, but after having called them two different times to make sure the shipping error did not happen again, the whole thing is extremely frustrating. The electronics product I bought was intended to help my daughter in college and I hope she doesn't have to return to school without her Christmas gift.
