Federal Express Complaint - Service quality
I was waiting for an overnight package all day, which never came so I called the customer service only to be told that there would be no package delivery today due a mechanical problem in Indianapolis. (I thought that first-class companies like Fedex would have contingency plans to hedge such risks).
The following morning, the buzzer of my apartment building rang so I let the door open but nobody came up, and the web tracking system indicated that the customer was not available, which was not true as I was at my apartment, just waiting.
I called the customer service twice and they said that they would contact the driver - no response from the driver. After 30 minutes or so I heard the buzzer again so I let the door open but this time I went downstairs at the same time to catch the driver before he gets on the elevator - but voila, I miraculously found the Fedex envelope on my doormat. So, did he leave the envelope first and went downstairs to ring the building buzzer?
I finally got the envelope, but I was so frustrated as it was a $10,000 check that I was waiting for!
I am also uncomfortable as there is no place on their website to post customer complaints.
