Honda Complaint - Complaint
ANYTOWN -- Honda Accord 07 cars have a problem with the quality of their brakes; namely the brake pads wear out prematurely at about 17,000 miles; and Honda refuses to acknowledge, accept fault, or even offer an effective solution for fixing this problem; buyers are left in the lurch for about $500 of repairs a year or so depending on how much they drive. I had to spend hours of research and some money to get professional advice from an online Honda Certified mechanic to determine how I might fix the brake problem and get at least 50,000 miles out of the brakes like I have in the past from the cheapest econobox cars I have owned. I say might because it remains to be seen if the certified mechanic's advice will fix the problem. The upshot is that Honda needs to take responsibility for its failures. In refusing to take responsibility Honda puts its customer and others on the line for lost money; and possible brake failure not to mention possibly endangering others due to unsafe cars. If the fix suggested by the mechanic does not work, I am sorry to say that going to sell my Honda at a loss as soon as it is paid off and buy American. I bought this Honda at a much higher price than an American car for safety, reliability, and resale value; and got none of these things if the brakes cannot be repaired and rendered strong and reliable. If Honda thinks it is big enough to high hand its customers, and too big to fail, Honda is paving the way for its customers to leave.
