General Motors Complaint - Drivers village service - Syracuse
SYRACUSE -- We have been a loyal Saturn owner for years and have enjoyed the vehicles. Due to GM re-structuring and the Saturn vehicles are now to be serviced at a large GM multi - product Dealership in Syracuse New York.
Our 2007 Saturn Vue has experienced what appears to be a bearing noise and has 38,000 miles on it.
I called Drivers Village service Department to schedule an appointment to have the vehicle looked at and spoke to Service Technician/manager Paul. I would not normally call anyone out by name in a complaint but, by the lack of enthusiasm and interest was absolutely appalling. The attitude was definitely not from the service culture Saturn has provided in the past.
Paul response to me was the earliest he could inspect out vehicle was 14 calendar days away from the date of my call. I told him about the situation and he told me plainly that I would just have to deal with it. I asked about the warranty and he said he did not care if the vehicle was 10 miles out of warranty they were not going to cover the repairs plain & simple. Again this is NOT the Saturn customer service we loyal Saturn owners have come to enjoy and expect.
Our Saturn lease is expiring in a year and it is too bad that this lack of professionalism has surfaced for we were planning on staying within the GM family.
I took the vehicle to a local auto mechanic and he stated the noise might be coming from the transmission. He stated the transmission is a seal unit so it would need to be serviced by a certified transmission mechanic or the dealer.
I do not know what our options are at this juncture but it appears that GM has let us down or at least Drivers Village has.
If anyone has any ideas of re-course for us I would appreciate the feed back.
