Time Warner Complaint - $10 Increase in Cable Bill in January 2010
How interesting that immediately after Time Warner's "Roll Over Or Get Tough" campaign against Fox, the next month I received a TEN DOLLAR INCREASE in my cable bill!!!
When I called TW Billing, I was told that for the previous year (2009) I had received a "special discount" of $10 on my cable bill and that the discount was no longer being applied to my account. I called another TW billing representative and was given another explanation. This time the representative told me flat out that there had been a $10 PRICE INCREASE! Hmmm... which one of them was lying to me???
I then called a customer service representative and explained the situation to her. She told me I had been receiving this "special discount" for a year. I questioned her as to why I had NEVER seen a CREDIT of $10 on any bill that year for this "special discount?" I then asked her to send me the documents stating that I had received this "special discount" and was told the following by her: "We don't put those things in writing." OH, I see, you don't put things like this in writing so you change your prices and raise them whenever you see fit?" Is THAT WHY?
Time Warner is a despicable company that changes the rules along the way and it is only a matter of time before I replace them with other services.
I have made the decision NOT to roll over for TW, but to fight back and "get tough" and DUMP THEM as my cable provider!
