T-Mobile Complaint - Its funny how helpful associates can be when their job is based on commission!
MONTEBELLO, CALIFORNIA -- I entered the T-mobile store in Montebello, ca just to try and buy my phone with an upgrade. In the midst of the transaction, the sales associate advices my mother and I to consider having internet on my line. He then said he can give us my cell for the price of $50 after a $50 rebate by adding a new line and he also added that he would make our account 18% off for each monthly cycle. I was not interested but then he eagerly added that the internet was free of charge. I was left intrigued and we decided to accept his offer. To my dismay, it was a bogus deal, we received the monthly statement and called 611 to speak to a representative to not only find out that I was not receiving a rebate, but that in fact T-Mobile was only able to offer my phone for $129.99. They also let us know that t-mobile will never let anyone have free internet on any phone line. My mother was so infuriated that she went back into the store and the sales clerk that helped us happened to not be working on that day. The manager did not say much, and he offered an apology and a free car charger. Wow! T-Mobile is a good company over the phone, when we get lucky, but I can't believe the sales associates at certain locations are allowed to lie to the customers about bogus prices and get away with it.
