Apria Home Health Compliment - Excellent service
CALIFORNIA -- Over the last few months I've found myself not feeling well and I've gone through the medical tests that were less than fun. Not only the tests themselves, but the jumping through hoops to get everything coordinated. The doctors orders delayed, waiting for test results, the insurance company authorizing coverage and so on. I work for the company my insurance is through and we do not get special consideration (and we shouldn't!) so I feel your pain when people come here and complain about their insurance companies customer service issues.
Anyway, to cut to the chase the easiest part of this whole ordeal was getting my durable medical equipment and home health supplies from Apria. The process of getting everything organized with the doctor, testing, and insurance company took me 3 months. To actually get what I needed from Apria once they received the order was less than 24 hours. They educated me on how to use the equipment and how to care for it, as well as what steps I need to take when it is time for me to re-order supplies or if I needed a replacement. They will even UPS the items to me free of charge so I don't have to pick it up. That may be 'normal' service for them, but it means a lot to me that I don't have to plan time away from work to take care of this.
