Metlife Dental Complaint - Metlife dental Plans Suck

Review by mmmetlife on 2010-01-11
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS -- The Metlife dental plans are advertised as being concerned with the dental health of employees. This is not the case. The consulting dentists are paid handsomely to prevent payment for anything more than a vet would do for a horse. They will not pay for crowns or bridges, opting for dentures as soon as they can so the health responsibility of the employees teeth will be off their back. I WOULD NOT USE THEIR HEALTH PLANS, DENTAL PLANS, ETC. AS THEY ARE IN BUSINESS TO RIP PEOPLE OFF, PAY BIG BONUSES AND HAVE ELABORATE PARTIES TOUTING THEIR PROFITS. EVEN MY DENTIST SAYS THEY ARE OUT TO BEAT THE PATIENT.

Metlife offers different levels of dental coverage; is yours through your employer or a personal policy? My employer offers Metlife dental coverage, and I have never had a problem, but we are given the best policy they offer. Remember, insurance is like everything else: you get what you pay for. This doesn't sound like a Metlife problem as much as a policy issue.
