Premire Auto Haus Complaint - Liars - Used Car

Review by storker on 2010-01-11
DOWNERS GROVE, ILLINOIS -- I went to Premire Auto Haus to look at cars for my 16 year daughter.
We saw a Saturn Ion that we liked. After test driving it we discovered several things wrong. Wipers didn't work and the drivers side wheel bearing was bad. We were going to leave when the salesman and, finance manager insisted that both problems would be fixed and they pushed us into buying the car. We went back there two days later after the salesman said the car was ready. They fixed the bearing but not the wipers.
I told the finance manager that I wanted out of the deal, and he promised that the wipers would be fixed and he would have someone bring the car to my work later that week. On Friday the salesman and the sales manager-owner brought the car to me. The wipers appeared to be fixed. I gave them the money .
Later on I started the car and the wipers came on automatically. I called the finance manager and he gave me the run around. After several phone calls the owner reluctantly had me take the car back to his shop. The mechanics couldn't fix the car. After 5 trips the wipers still don't work and his mechanic admitted that he can't fix it. The owner said to take it to a G. M garage for them to diagnose that he would pay for one hour of service. After one hour the garage can't locate the problem, possible broken wire. I called the owner at Premire to give him that information, and that I was willing to split the additional costs. He said that was my problem and to get a lawyer. So it will cost me an additional $450.00 dollars to get my daughters car fixed. Please don't buy a car from Premire Auto Haus. They are liars. They push you to buy their junk, and lie the whole time to your face!

You should have told him ti fix the issues and then you would have bought the car......I wouldnt have signed anything until everything was properly fixed.

There are millions of used cars out there. Just say no to the one that doesn't work before you even buy it. Reminds me of the old P.T. Barnum saying........

Saturn made more than one Ion, there are more of them out there used that just the one. You def. got the run around on this one, but had it been me I'd have walked away from the deal.

I don't know about IL, but here in MA it is illegal to sell a car than cannot pass the state inspection. Non-functional wipers would definitely make that list. Check the laws in your state.
