Ashleys Furniture Complaint - Ashleys Poor Service and Quality
LINDEN, NJ -- We ordered a complete livingroom set. Coffee table, two end tables, sofa table and entertainment cabinet. One end table came with strange swirls and scratches on the top and the sofa table was uneven. I called within the time allowed and they sent someone out who said that both pieces were defective. We had to wait over a month (for a second time) to get our two new pieces. I called and was promised that a manager would inspect the furnitire before it was sent a second time. I was concerned we would have the same problems just because of the quality of the pieces. After waiting a nother month, the new end table is ok... better than the first. The sofa table was even but all scratched up. Then the delivery guys tried to take both sofa tables with them which really upset my wife. Ashleys comfirmed that no manager ever inspected the second delivery and has promised to send a third sofa table out. My wife has decided that she won't let the delivery guys take the crooked table out until she sees the new one. She has decided to keep the crooked table if the next piece comes damaged again. I guess YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. What kills me is that I could fix the sofa table we have. The metal work on the sides is a slightly different length on one side. I should be able to take the allen screws out and shim it, but who ever put it together stripped the allen screws.
I would rate Ashleys a step above IKEA. We knew this going in and bought from them because we couldn't find the pieces we wanted anywhere else. Still I would try to never buy from them again.
