I purchased a General Electric washer from Grants Appliances on 11-20-09. Several days later I called them to see why the clothes were not getting clean. I was not happy with this infusion agitator and wanted to exchange it for the traditional kind. I then went into the store to see if I was doing something wrong as I was told to read the manual. After speaking with the salesman I was told to call General Electric repair to see if there was something mechanically wrong with the washer. I followed their instructions and a repairman came out to our house. He stated that the machine was operating as designed. The problem is that the clothes do not get clean unless you use a very small amount and use the most amount of water possible. I am using the Super setting for water, heavy soil setting and my water bill increased 40.00 in one month. I asked Grants Appliances to exchange this washer from the beginning and they stated they do not make the appliances they just sell them. I was then told to call General Electric and was given the direct line to a representative. No one ever called me back. The clothes on the bottom of the tub get all tangled and twisted and the clothes on the top barely move. I just want a machine that gets my clothes clean the first time. I am sometimes doing the same load twice or else I manually move them around so the clothes from the top get to the bottom. The time spent doing so many loads and the energy used is definitely not efficient.
