Sony Electronics Inc Complaint - Sony Products: Buy At Your Own Risk
This is the worst experience I have ever had with a company. Sony has treat me with such disregard that I will never buy any product even remotely connected to them.
SONY IS SURVIVING ON PAST REPUTATION, THEIR CURRENT PRODUCTS ARE POORLY MADE.
My Sony Bravia 52" LCD, which I paid $2500 for stopped working after 2.5 months of limited use. After the service center advised that the part to fix it was no longer available, Sony agreed to send me a replacement. Only, they will not send me a brand new TV, it will be refurbished. After complaining profusely all the way up to the National Customer Relations Center, I got nowhere. Sony would not back their product.
Then I am informed by the shipper that the TV was "lost" on the dock and they notified Sony on Dec 23, 2009. After 2 weeks pass Sony does not even notify me of a problem. They do nothing. had I not followed up, I would be out $2500. Finally, on Jan 7th I am told a replacement will be sent. Here I am Jan 12th and not only has a replacement not been sent, I am told it will take another 10-14 days to receive it.
