Vitacost.com Complaint - Backorder / Changes Advertised Terms / Waste Of Time
NORTH CAROLINA -- Although this company advertised great prices, I cannot understand why they sell items they do not have in stock. Also, they changed the shipping terms, from ships out in 24 hrs, to backorder maybe 7 days, to may be longer than 11 days. In addition to extending the shipping time, they also told me I would have to pay double shipping if I wanted part of my order shipped. I told them right there and then to cancel my order because if waiting for the order wasn't enough, changing my shipping fees after the fact is.
I haven't gotten a written response stating that I canceled my order, nor did they ever respond to my emails.
I am becoming convinced that unless there is some accountability, internet sales will go down due to companies that are not professional. I was hoping to save money, but this was not worth it because I read here that another customer complained that they also sell the credit card info out, and we have already fallen victim to this theft by classmates.com. They sold our credit card info to a credit consumer company. It cost us money that they took without our consent. An attorney told us he got taken for money also, and asked if we wanted to do a class-action lawsuit. We are still considering it. I just hope vitacost.com will not or has not sold my information or I guarantee I will follow with a lawsuit.
