Tile Emporium Complaint - Sells Flawed Product and Won't Exchange

Review by mkantor on 2010-01-13
SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA -- I purchased a good deal of tile from Tile Emporium for remodeling a bathroom. The limestone tile I purchased for the floor was discolored. I showed pictures to a number of people at the store and they said it was bad tile but that I had to speak with the owner, Charlie. When I spoke with Charlie and showed him the photos he said there was nothing he would do since the contract stated I had 3 days to exchange the damaged goods and since more time had passed he was not obligated to do anything. I explained that 3 days is not sufficient and that materials are picked up for construction jobs well in advance of their being installed. He did not care and refused to stand by his product and replace the flawed product he sold me. He had my money and didn't care about me.
