Thrifty Complaint - Be careful to sign you contract
Last August I rented a minivan from Thrifty at LAX. A woman hit my van on highway 405 and we called the police and the provided us the report. When I returned the car I did report to Thrifty and gave them the police report number. I also filed a claim with my AMEX premium rental insurance. AMEX did pay them more than $1000 even it was not my fault. I got the letter from Thrifty, their Subrogation Department and asked me to pay them $100 for administration fees which AMEX did not pay since they can't provide support paper. I emailed customer service and told them why I have to pay for the fees they should go after the woman who hit my van. They told me to call their Subrogation Department. I called them and they told since I signed the contract I have to pay. They claimed they tried but they could not find information about the woman who hit me even with police report. I truly believe they did not spend time to go after that woman since I the one who signed the contract and I have to pay them. This is the way Thrifty treat their loyal customer.
