Sears Automotive Complaint - Don't go to Sears Automotive

CHARLESTON, WEST VIRGINIA -- I called to see how much new brake pads would be for my car, and was told between $169 and $198. Since nothing eles is open on Saturdays I took my car to get it looked at and get a real estimate. I needed the brake pads, also needed a new tire tie rod which was close to another $200. I left my car at 9:15 called to see when it would be ready at 3pm and went to wait on it at 4pm.
I watched the guy try to take it off the rack, but get stuck on something (whihc ended up being a huge jack). He put the car back on the rack and then moved the jack out of the way.

I went to pay the bill and was told it was $581. When I got in my car it took 3 tries to get it to start. It has a new battery, and battery cables.
Also the check engine light is now on.

My car has started even in the 6 degree temperatures without the slightest hesitation, and now it sounds terrible.

I called Sears and of course they deny any responsibility.

$400 for brake pads that only have an 18,000 mile warranty is ridiculous, and twice what they said it would be. Also more than twice what I paid for 50,000 mile warranty brakes 3 years ago.

Be Fore warned DO NOT GO TO SEARS AUTOMOTIVE, they are terrible.

Did you have a good shopping experience while you waited for your car? as far as everything else, I'm shocked that they didn't just fess up to destroying your car. 169, 198 200 more, 400 total. charged 581. 400 for brakes. car is destroyed. My words make no sense, but then again, neither do yours. so were even.
