Ashley Furniture Complaint - Ashley is the WORST!
AMHERST, NEW YORK -- We recently bought a couch from Ashley in Amherst, NY and found after about 5 months, the cushions were sagging and my husband was literally sitting on the floor. (This is KEY..when we originally sat on the couch in the showroom, we loved it, it was sturdy, good back support, which is essential for my husband who has severe back problems.) Upon calling Ashley, first they said they would give us a store credit, then when we went to the store, there was no record of that at all. What happened? Their customer service person gave us the wrong info!! So, we followed their instruction AGAIN, and called their customer service dept. They sent us out three (3) new cushions! Yes, they were firmer but after a week, the sagging continued. Then we called again, they sent out a technician, who said there was nothing wrong with the couch. Ashley called us back and said there was nothing more they could offer accept an outside technician. Upon his arrival, he said the springs were faulty, they needed replacement. They were abnormally soft for only a few months old. In the end, we are taking a $170 check which is about a 1/4 of what we paid! Just to 'shut us up'. We don't want to keep fighting!
If you are considering this store, DON'T!!!! If you work for Ashley, I wonder how you can continue working for a company who steals money from people!? The company should be banned! It's a real shame, but we learned our lesson!
