Swivel Sweeper Complaint - Swivel Sweeper MELTS

Review by foursquare on 2010-01-18
FAIRFIELD, NEW JERSEY -- I want to inform all of you about the batteries on the Swivel Sweeper. They can melt and fuse to the main unit. My Grandma use hers because its light and convenient. The problem is somehow the batteries over heated and melted. I called the manufacture in NJ and asked to get a replacement. They said "NO"??? They only warranty the unit for 90 days buyer beware!!!! Find another product!!! this company is a mass marketer and couldn't care less once you have paid them.

Wow, how hot does this swivel get, that its melting??

If it was past the 90 day warranty, then you know why they won't replace it.

I have a swivel sweeper and used it a lot. I noticed that the battery does get quite warm but never hot, and certainly not hot enough to melt anything. It sounds like the battery in your Grandma's unit is defective, and if it fused to the sweeper, she won't be able to use it anymore because she won't be able to charge the battery.

I'm disappointed that the company refused to help you. Hopefully, they corrected this problem in the new and improved model, but I don't blame you or your Grandma if you're not interested in finding out.
