BY PHONE -- I phone the toll free number # on the card to activate my Visa credit card.
After my initial replies, the Visa representative tells me to phone another toll free number for whatever reason I don't understand. So I phone the new number and after a few replies, the representative tells me that we will charge you a fee for the call. Very strange. I became suspicious so I hung up. I will go to the bank to investigate.

I phoned & emailed Visa customer service and she told me that they do not charge for any fees.It is free.It must have been a rouge customer agent trying to make some money on the side.

That does sound strange. You should have only had to call that number to get your card activated... and *only* that number.
