Virgin Mobile USA Complaint - Rip-Off, Bigtime
NEW JERSEY -- I'm 83 & NOT a phone person, needing a phone for emergencies. In a months time I may have used that phone 10 to 15 times, with no exaggeration!
I puchased my Virgin Mobile, cell phone in a reliable Department store (Walmart), along with a $30 card for my calls. Foolishly I decided to use my debit card from my bank, for any future payments. This company started to charge me shortly after signing up... there were 13 debits of $10.65, totaling $136.45 in less than a month. In fact one day they debited four(4)times at $10.65 each. After calling numerous...it ended with a statement, that they didn't have any records of the debits!...I have records...on my statement. I read that some people had money left on their account when they closed the service. I had the same problem....saying it was not their policy...some policy!
Presently, I am disputing the total through my Bank, which will take 30 to 90 days to settle this matter. I'm on Social Security & need that money to live off of.
Has anyone been successful in regaining any money from this uncouth business? Irene
