Charlotte Honda dba Farmer Acquisition Company, Port Charlotte, FL Complaint - Sales person had own agenda

Review by skeech on 2010-01-24
PORT CHARLOTTE, FLORIDA -- My 93 year old father went to the dealership to purchase a new car. He wanted the top of the line. Since the Touring car was not available the sales person told my father that this one (listed above) had everything on it except four wheel alarms and that the one (and only) Odyssey on the lot included a Navigator and a camera for backing up. (The Camera is useless for closeup backing up.) My father bought the car only to learn that there is no compass, no MPG indicator, NO BACKUP ALARM. No auto on/off for the lights, No programmable windshield wipers. Also, the price on the Purchase Order is 2000.00 higher than the sticker price! I have talked by phone to three(3) managers who tell me I have to come to the dealership to talk about this. They won't talk on the phone. I called to make an appointment on Saturday and was told by the manager "I'll be here". I gave him a time range only to be ignored for more than one hour whereupon I left. We, my Dad and I want to trade for the Touring car and want an answer as to why the price is different on the purchase order and they ignore us. It is a 70 mile round trip for me to go to this dealership!
