Dell Computer Corporation Complaint - Dell Financial Services - Nightmare!
Our nightmare started when we purchased a new Dell computer last year. The product itself has been fantastic, however our dealings with Dell Financial Services has been less than stellar! First of all, we have to date, never ever received anything in the mail regarding our account, due date etc. We have however, managed to receive "late" notices. After months of attempting to get paperwork and get this all worked out, we finally out of frustration paid our account in full. We asked several times to make sure the amount we were paying was the bottom line and that no further monies would be needed to close our account. We were assured that our account was indeed paid in full and the account closed. The payment was taken directly from our checking account and we thought the issue was dead. Low and behold two months later to our surprise, we get a phone call that our account is past due. After trying to explain to the "robot" on the phone the circumstances, I asked to speak with a supervisor. Again, repeating the story, the "robot" on the phone began reading scripted information and wasn't even trying to listen to what I was saying. When I asked to speak with his supervisor, I was told "he wasn't on the floor and that the account was assigned to him." My first response was, if when I asked for a supervisor in the first place and you came on the phone, how could you indeed be a supervisor and the "account" be assigned to you. I was told bottom line that I would have to deal with HIM period and that he was the highest person I would beable to talk to. What gives these faceless people sitting in a cubicle in a call center the right to be so high and mighty and where are the so called "monitoring for quality assurance" individuals? All I want to do is talk to someone who is not a robot, reading from some scripted templet and who will more importantly, listen to what I am saying and make an attempt to help straighten out this mess. We recommend if you plan on purchasing a new computer with Dell is NOT to use Dell Financial Services to finance your purchase unless you want zero customer service and robots to answer your questions along with an account that won't close even after being paid off.
