Sears Complaint - Sears.com Scam & Lies To Customers Re: In Stock Items
PLEASE DO NOT USE SEARS.COM!!!!!!! On January 21, 2010, I placed an order for a travel system (car seat/stroller) for my son. The item was in stock in the store but since it was a gift, I didn't want him to pick up his own gift. The baby was due 01/26, and the online confirmation said the item would be delivered 01/26 (that delivery takes 1-5 days). In calling and checking on the order no tracking number was placed online at Sears.com. So I called and asked and was told that the order would be delivered 02/05/2010 (15 days later). I was told soooooo many lies. I was told the item was out of stock BUT online it says item is in stock available for a 5 day deliver. I was told that there is a processing time 2-3 days, then the 5 day delivery (that's 8 days, why 15 days for me?). I was told that I did not get a confirmation email stating 01/26/2010 (so I guess I'm delusional when I read my email). I was told the order will be processed on 01/26 and delivered 02/05 (that's still 10 days for delivery).
So we sit in limbo - I have a beautiful grandson born today but no car seat. Not to worry Sears, as you hold my money hostage, I will be going out to a "legitimate" business that enjoys return customers and buying another car seat/stroller! Hope this one-time customer experience was well worth you losing customers over!!!
WHY would Sears take my money and then inform me after the fact that my item will ship at a later date? They will not offer me a refund until the order is delivered and returned, saying they cannot stop the process even though it has not shipped.
I was also told there is an email address directly to corporate. Then I was told there is no email adress (these are the managers I'm talking with). BUT yet, as I entered this complaint process, there is an email address to contact corporate before "you decide to write this complaint." A day late and a dollar short.
