T-Mobile Complaint - Warranty Replacements
I purchased a Samsung Behold in August 2009 and was told by the sales representative that in case the phone failed I could return it to any T-Mobile store for a replacement. Well the touch screen failed and I returned to the store where it was purchased and found that they DO NOT provide replacements. Come to find out from talking with customer service while I was at the store that this particular phone has a known software problem [I verified this 3 times with the customer service representative just to make sure]. Acknowledging that yes Samsung has a known software problem, they are having me pay the shipping/return costs for the refurbished warranty replacement and my defective unit and they cannot guarantee that the replacement will not have the same software issues. If it fails again before the warranty is up I will have to go through this again. Oh by the way I still have 1 year left on my contract if the phone fails after September 2010. Nice company to do business with wouldn't you say.
Why consumers are so willing to put up with this type of treatment and still go back for more. If my phone fails after the warranty is up in August, hello Verizon..........
