DirecTV Inc Complaint - Unsatisfactory - "service call"
I started using DirecTV on July 2009 because I'm tight on money right now. I didn't have problem until yesterday 01/25/10 my satellite had problem. I couldn't watched TV so I called DirecTV 01/26/10 at 02:50pm. The technical of DirecTV gave me instructions but still didn't work. He asked me to hold for 30 minutes until the phone line got cut. I called back with different person, her name was Mona. I followed the instructions she gave me like I did earlier but it still didn't work. She said we needed to send a technical to come to my house and the service call fee was $49.99 or protection plan for the service call every month $6.99. This is really made me disappointed because from beginning DirecTV agent did not tell me about this and Mona told me they weren't allow to tell to consumer before we sign the contract with them until its happened. I got stuck and had to deal with all this situation. I made schedule to technical come to my house but this is unbelievable for me because the technical was only available on 02/03/10 that mean my family and I can not watch TV for week. They claim to have the best customer service but when I called them they were so whole-hearted. They really suck!! It's not worth it that you offer your friends to join DirecTV just so you can get 100$. I would not give suggestion to using DirecTV to all my friends and I would like to end my contract if I can. Never and ever use their service.
