Vista BMW Coconut Creek Florida Informative - Watch the botom line....

Review by Oversight on 2010-01-27
I wanted to share a recent experience I had at the Vista BMW Dealership in Coconut Creek Florida. I went there to purchase a BMW 5 series and had done all the relevant research and was well prepared for the routine sales pitches. After several minutes of discussion I cut to the chase and demanded to get a line by line breakdown of "add ons". Reluctantly, the salesman rushed through a list of items and I had to stop him on several occasions for clarification. Summary...... The vehicle destination charge is not negotiable nor is the " Training Fee " of $180.00 which is NOT listed on MSRP sticker. I was told this was for advertising. So we pay for the BMW advertising which is written off at year end on the corporate balance sheet of the dealer... Go figure. An additional $ 549.00 will be charged for the Dealer Fee which is reasonable. NOW the clincher... There will be a $800.00 PDI Fee. Whats this? I was told it was for detailing the car and fuel. Seems pricey for some gas and a car wash NO? In any event I contacted several other BMW dealers in the South Florida area and they did NOT have this ridiculous fee which is simply more profit to the dealer. STAY AWAY FROM VISTA AND SHOP ELSEWHERE. PS. I did purchase the vehicle from another dealer at a savings of over $875.00 ... Buyer Beware
