Lowe's Complaint - Hiring Practices
CLAREMONT, NEW HAMPSHIRE -- I applied for a position at Lowes and was contacted by a Regional HR Manager. I went through the testing and initial application process and was asked to come back for a second interview. I was not available on the day they asked for the second interview and was told they would contact me to reschedule. I was never contacted again. I left several messages and finally got the HR Manager who performed the original interviews to speak with me. He stated he would speak to his Regional Manager about my application. It has been three weeks and I never received any other call, not even a "Thanks but no Thanks" letter. I was in a meeting two days ago and ran into a former colleague who mentioned they were now working in the position I had applied for. I feel that Lowes really missed an opportunity, but more than that, feel that there lack of response and communication was horrific. I am now glad I didn't pursue this as I would not want to work in that type of environment where a company cannot even make the time contact its management level potential candidates.
