Have other CVS employees worked "off the clock" attending mandatory meetings?
The new Pharmacy Manager at the CVS in Clemmons, NC held a madatory staff meeting after hours at an off site location. The meeting lasted 1.5 hours. At the end of the meeting he told us he could only pay for 1.0 hours. I believe the labor laws require payment for all time at such meetings in addition to the additional travel time to drive to the off site location. Has anyone else had any experience with this situation? Do I have any recourse? I know this a trivial amount of money for one person but if commonplace it could add up.
It is also an example of how this Manager tries to bully his hourly staff.
