Wal-Mart Complaint - Completely unsatisfied
LEXINGTON, TENNESSEE -- Recently Walmart has been doing some re-modeling in our home town of Lexington, TN and surrounding locations. They claim that they are making the isles larger and removing all the clutter that used to be there, but will not be changing the products. For the last five or six times that I have visited Walmart, and no store in particular, I have not completed my list of items to buy. Items that Walmart has always had on the shelf. For example: a simple weekly calender/planner in 8 1/2 x 11 size. I have bought one from Walmart for the past three years. I use them at work to keep a daily log. Guess what, for 2010 Walmart offers only one type of planner in this size and style and it isn't the same. Some others are offered, but not what I am looking for. Another journal that I use regularly they don't have either. I found it at a competitors computer store that should cost much more, but I was shocked to find it for less and they also had my planner too. Today I took my son to Walmart for a simple pair of bibbed overalls. There were none anywhere in the store, and not even a sign of where they used to be. We also looked for additional items in the sporting goods that were not there. While heading to the other side of the store to get something for my wife, I came across a manager. I confronted him with our situation. He explained that the overalls were not in season. I laughed at him while telling him it had snowed 6 inches over the past two days, and was still on the ground. He tried to explain that the seasons in the store where different from actual time and usually came earlier. I guess that is why they clutter the entire store with Christmas decorations in early October, and try to clear it out before December ever gets here. I went on to tell him how recently certain things in the men's department where no longer available. Also my wife had been comparing prices to local grocery stores. It was a huge difference and we have stopped buying groceries at Walmart except for the rare case of a have to case. I then mentioned that a DVD I had in my basket was cheaper at another store. He didn't seem to care. In so many words he told me that his business would continue on with or without me. That is when I walked out of the store empty handed. If I had purchased everything on my list today it would have cost around $200, that is if I could have found it all. Since Walmart doesn't have it and doesn't seem to care, I will spend my hard earned money elsewhere. Also I will share this story with anyone who will listen.
