Internetishop.com Complaint - They're theives!!! Beware of them!!! - Laptop

Yes, let's work together on this! This company is so disorganized and lacks one iota of customer service ability. Actually, I think InternetIShop officially closed its doors yesterday (9/20/04) and here's why: as of 9am PST, I was waiting on hold to talk to tech support (my LCD monitor from there has hundreds of dead pixels and a 3-year warranty...I assumed it would be an easy fix). After an hour of never even speaking to a human being, I hung up and tried calling back about 30 minutes later. Suddenly, there was no more automated system. Call right now 866-650-7400 and listen to the beautiful sounds of a disconnected line. Their website www.internetishop.com is also suddenly not functioning. I don't know what to do!!! I have a 3-year warranty on an entire desktop system that is, in all reality, no longer warrantied??? If this is the case, I am willing to do whatever it takes to get renumeration for this. Class-action is fine. I live on the other side of the U.S. (near Philly) but I want to start this process ASAP.

Can anyone verify if they are even still in business?

I could not access their site, very slow... Also Please note that they are on Ebay. 0 Rating, no items for sale but a warning just in case...

You know, Now that I think about it, I think they have another seller ID on ebay because I am POSITIVE that I visited that Site before through a link on a Sellers Listing on Ebay.

Some more info.. http://feedback.ebay.ca/ws1/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=www-internetishop-com Ok basically yesterday they got 5 or so negatives, then today all of a sudden they get 10 or so positives to compensate. The positives are mainly lower priced $10-$15 items (listing and closing fee would be nothing for them to cover for fake bids if you know what I mean). Yet Ebay allows them to sell.. Go figure. And yet they boot me for doing nothing wrong..

I'm just about to email eBay to complain about them. Also, I'm not too sure about this other company but they sell the exact same laptops as internetishop. I mean exact from the way they display the pictures of the laptops to picture of their business site; and guess what?! Their also located in Pomona!!! Go to http://www.gen-x-pc.com/about_us.htm and you'll know what I mean. I've already emailed this company for their address to verify it. Hopefully it doesn't turn out to be the same as Internetishop.

Hey Jaycub, yes they're actually out of business. I live in Toronto, Canada and the Pomona Police called me earlier today and the detective told me that the company is actually no longer there. He assumed that they company filed for bankruptcy and left all of us people who sent them money, whether through credit cards or money order, high and dry. I've alerted eBay about this company but I'm not sure what they are planning to do. I've tried to contact the other numbers that BBB has posted on their website about that company and Hugebee and they don't work. Surprised? Me neither.

I noticed all domain extensions for their site are taken. And all have different names registered for them. But some are very similar.. For example this one is also in the same place as their original registry BUT different info and through Hugebee.. Also note that internetshop.com while located in Canada, sels almost similiar products and is still up and running..

Oh, and furthermore, even if the InternetIShop operation is functional again, I am terrified to send my monitor to them for a replacement. I would rather have all of my money back and get a new system from a reputable company. Ugh.

It's funny how even though their (Internetishop) site is up, I'm having problems entering my account through the login link. And Gen-X PC never returned my email. Has anyone tried giving Internetishop a call? I'm still in class so it's rather difficult. I'm still waiting on my reply from eBay.

I called GEN-X-PC 11:42am today on the 337-235-1072 number. Here is the voicemail I landed at:
“Gen-X...this is Gary...I’m either on the phone or away from my desk...please leave a message.” Tried calling again at 2:17pm got the same message.

I too am having problems with Internetishop. Ordered a system on 9/7/2004, got stories about the processor being backordered twice, tried to contact them on 9/22 and 9/23 but the phones were not working and the website is down. Ebay has closed them as a merchant also. My credit card company is now handling it. I had purchased 3 high end boxes from them in the past and was very satisfied with the quality of hardware and service. This is very disappointing!

Their site is back up but I still can't access the login page. Ebay couldn't help me much since I had ordered my laptop through the phone. I'm getting a friend who may be able to help me in this pursuit to shut these people down for good. I'll keep you posted on how he may handle the situation.

I dropped off a laptop computer to be repaired the week before they went out of bussiness. I was told it needed to be sent out for repair due to a bios problem. Does anyone know who they may have sent it to? Does anybody have a contact number for any former employees? If they filled bankruptcy, what court did they file in, and when is the hearing?
