Wal-Mart Complaint - Was Attacked By Another Customer & Walmart Did Nothing!!!
MISHAWAKA, INDIANA -- I am writing this complaint in regards to the security or lack of Walmart has when theres problems for customers safety! I go shopping all the time at Walmart and up til' now I felt safe. Now I don't! My autistic daughter and I went shopping on a Saturday afternoon at our local Walmart in Mishawaka, Indiana store (close to Notre Dame). I then went to the self check outs and there were 2 lines with customers with 4 checkout stations. I had one lady in front of me and then it was her turn to go. Then another checkout came open on my side and I started to push my cart up to the machine (this day all 4 were open). A crazy lunatic woman (customer) on the left side of the checkouts comes pushing her cart and yelling at me saying it was her turn. First of all, I was scared to death because I was minding my own business and taking care of my daughter who is autistic.
Also, she is in the other line and had no right coming up to me in the first place! She even yelled at the lady in front of me as she was walking to the open station, but she paid no attention. But unfortunately I did. She then screams and yells and I ask what her problem is and then I just try to avoid her and go to the checkout. She then RAMS her cart into mine with my young daughter of 2 and then gets in front of me and takes my machine! I was just in shock at this point! I asked again what her prblem is! I felt like she harassed me, hit my cart, and frightened me and my little girl. The guy behind me lets her know that was uncalled for. She quickly says horrible things to him to shut him up.
She starts to ring up her things and each time she scans something, she comments and glares at me and says nasty things to me!!! Total crazy person! Then the other check out in front of her checkout became open. At this point, I want to permanantly get away from her. I then try to go around her to get to the checkout in front of her that was open. She then rams her cart into mine a couple more times! At this point I am so angry I can't stand it. I then have to pick her cart up because its T-boned into mine and put it back so I can move my cart. I am so mad that I do yell at her to stop! The customer service woman who is supposed to be watching things finally noticed something was going on!
This was going on for 5 minutes and she was clueless! She then says we BOTH were making a scene and to basically shutup and we should be ashamed of ourselves. I then try to explain and she cuts me off and walks away! I then have a crying daughter and myself at this point and just walked away in tears. I then try and find another employee or manager. I then go to the other side of the store where the other self check outs are and asked the clerk to get a manager. She comes down and I tell her balling my eyes out at this point and she just says "oh, I am sorry about that". I can't believe this at all! Come on Walmart, you have security, cameras all over that store and no one can help me!!!!!!!!!!!!! I even called corporate and got nowhere. This crazy woman got away with it and no one did anything to help a mother and her child in need. I felt very alone and not feeling safe for my daughter. To this day, I feel like that store did nothing because they are such a big chain that they didn't have to deal with a small matter. To me it was and I will never forget it. I hope this woman somehow gets stopped for this because you could tell by her demeanor, she did this a lot. Its a shame people just don't care. If this ever happens again, any store I shop will pay more attention because I will stomp my feet and shout from the rooftops and call the police immediately. Anyone who went through something like this, stand up for yourself and get help immediately. Make these stores be responsible for their customers who should be important to them!
