CHAMBLEE INN/DAYS INN Complaint - Beware of Days Inn Jonesboro.aka Chamblee Inn (Don't waste even a little money)
JONESBORO, GEORGIA -- Mother in law pepaid for a room at the Chamblee Inn a.k.a. Day's Inn for dates July 28, 2004 to July 31, 2004. 1st day of arrival complained to assistant hotel manager that lights did not work in room. We we're promised a television remote, that we never received upon our arrival. The bathroom was in very poor condition to the point that we did not use it the first night. Free local calls we're also guaranteed, but the telephone in the room did not work. A double bed room was reserved informing that hotel that 3 to 4 people would be staying in the room. Only two towels we're given. When we requested another towel set, assistant manager Saith said we do give extra towels, but a double bed room was paid for. July 29, 2004 we requested to be moved to another room with working ammenties and suitable bathroom. Our request was honored, by the day manager. (I don't have a her). Later that day after returning from an outing, we learned that the room had ROACHES in it. We we're told that something would be done. Friday July 30, 2004 upon returning from an outing, nothing had been done. Our room had not been cleaned by the hotel housekeeping, there we're roaches in the dresser drawers, and on some of our clothing hanging up, I had finally had enough and asked for a full refund. The service was very, very poor from day one. The ammenities that the hotel advertised we're not promised or evident in the room or service. I was only given back 41.80 for the last night and checked out. My next step is the Greater Atlanta Department of Health. The hotel is unsafe & unclean with roaches, & trash on the second & third levels of the hotel. Also they advertised a swimming pool. The swimming pool was in no working condition. It was full of green mold and possibly E-Coli. The night manager Saith was very unhelpful, & unprofessional. I would like a full refund, for services that we're never rendered.
