Home Depot Informative - Home Depot carpet install
RICHMOND, VIRGINIA -- I went to Home Depot and picked out carpet and asked them to come out to measure and give me an estimate. They came out to measure the next week. Then they called and said they didn't receive payment for the estimate. I had the receipt right in front of me showing I did pay. They said they would call me back with the estimate. A few days went by with no call. My girlfriend called back and they said I had cancelled the order which I didn't. Again they said they would call her back with the estimate. They said they werent sure what had happened for the order to be cancelled. No call again. So I called again the next day. They said they needed the paperwork to give us the estimate. Again they said they werent sure what had happened. All we wanted was an estimate for installing our carpet and they couldn't give us that. They said we had to come up to the store with our receipt. I\'m sure they have this on file. So we told them we are cancelling our order and wanted our money back. They said they would refund our money. I just don't understand why a company wants to lose money when they screw up. We can get the job done thru Lowes which we will do. But not only are they losing this sale but they are losing thousands of dollars of sales that they could have had thru the years????v Just doesn't make sense does it???
