T-Mobile Complaint - T-Mobile Tyranny
T-Mobile's corporate greed and ineptitude deserves to be known to consumers. Last year I got laid off and have been struggling to make payments on their service. Despite my paying sums I truly cannot afford, they continue to limit my service to incoming text and phone calls regularly, yet still charge me the full price daily. Here I am trying desperately to get a second job and rather than enable a long-time customer they have made my life increasingly more difficult.
Moreover, T-Mobile cleverly and cruelly stops all data transmission, even for 802.11g (WIFI) enabled devices. As a result, when I am working my only job (2.5 hours away from home) I cannot even check my email to see if there are any results from my job search.
T-Mobile is aware of my situation and struggle, yet I am "punished" since my ability to continue to search for better employment is severely compromised. Certainly if I am unable to continue to pay them, by the time they are done the total charges will be excessively high, like most companies, if they think you are not going to be able to pay the bill, they make sure it is extremely high so they get a better tax write off.
Consumers beware of T-Mobile, they have no concern for the struggles of even their long-time customers during a down-turned economy.
That being said, I found the data service to be agonizingly slow, especially at prime times when I needed it the most such as evening times when trying to use Google Maps to navigate. Their coverage area is poor, the website is an absurd collage of marketing and sales information which lacks helpful things such as network status. For instance they were down in Southern California for many hours one Saturday and there was absolutely no way to get information about the outage on the website.
Hope this helps other consumers, I feel much better having ranted some. This evil company was a real poor choice - don't make the same mistake!
