Litton Loan Servicing Complaint - Litton is a joke - Modification
Do yourself a favor. Do not modify through Litton. These people are idiots. Your best shot from the go is to let them file foreclosure and have to court to order mediation. If they won't deal then file bankruptcy. Otherwise you will get involved in the paperwork game and the mean time they are adding your entire mortgage payment onto your loan. They will mess with you until you are insane! I have been dealing with them for 7 months and I started recording all the conversations. Keep an audio record of what they say (if you can understand the barely speaking English rep). After making $7000 worth of mortgage payments I now owe $4000.00 more on my principle then when I started. Modification only makes things worse. They keep your money and increase your principle and then charge interest in the increased amount. Litton has to be put into a position of cutting their losses before they will actually help you! Paying an attorney to keep your home just makes the attorney richer. I know people who have done it and come out on the other end losing their homes and big attorney fees to the tune of about $10,000.00. Step 1) let the house go into foreclosure. 2) Save all the money "under your mattress" you would have making in payments. 3)Enter mediation and tell them what you can do 4)if that doesn't work file bankruptcy and make sure to include all claims past present or future with the mortgage company. Otherwise they can come after you for what the house doesn't sell for. 5) if you still can't work it out. Let the sherriff throw you out of your house and take all your mattress money and start over. This whole process takes about 18-24 months an in the mean time you have accumaulated thousands in money. Remember the bank only deals fair when they are cutting their losses.
