Sedona Spas Complaint - Spa - Hot Tub (Spa)
PHOENIX -- In June of 2002 I purchased from Sedona Spas to the tune of about $8000 installed. It did not work the first day it was installed and has not worked for more than 1 day since. They have been out numerous times but have not been able to resolve the problem. They have now claimed that all of their spas have this same problem with the control unit when the outside air temperature exceeds about 95 degrees. This is something they failed to mention when I made my purchase.
About the sixth time they came out to service this spa, they told me the problem was related to a rodent chewing through the control wire. The rodent was able to get in to the spa because it was not properly installed. They refused to even come out to look at it again even after it failed the following day. I paid their contractor an additional $900 to pull the spa and pour cement underneath to prevent rodents from getting inside. They found that the wire had been cut due to it being pinched by the lip of the spa. To this day (2 years later) it still has never worked and Sedona Spas refuses to resolve these issues and keep saying they are not responable for the improper installation because they hired a contractor to do the work. Even after being served with a civil suit they have not resolved this issue. I am currently waiting for a trial date, but hope to get my money back and get this peice of junk out of my yard. If you are currently looking to buy a Sedona Spa, I would highly recommend finding a different company that will back their products.
