DirecTV Inc Complaint - Dump DirecTV in mass
Yes, DirecTV sucks, and so does anything else that we pay for that disappoints us. Now that I realize that part of the fee I pay to direcTV goes to channels that you couldn't pay me to watch, makes me even more angry. Now it must be recognized that DirecTV uses to worlds most expensive delivery system, that must be paid for plus a profit. The satellites in geo orbit are not cheap to install or replace, there is no repair option. BUT, paying $50 including those unjust local taxes for basic is something that I will only except for a few more months. With all the channels that I receive loaded with commercials, including DirecTvs very LOUD commercials, sometimes inserted into the program outside of normal commercial breaks, I begin to wonder why I'm paying to watch commercials. Commercials should pay for the programs, that is how it is supposed to work. I will not watch anything on any Turner channel, due to there large quantity of commercials. All the channels that show commercials should be paying to be seen, not the other way around.
Now, the only way to change this is, for Congress to require by law, that all content providers, be they from outer space or a wire on telephone poles, to sell you only what you want. That we, The American People not be required to buy something they do not want or need. That the BS from the providers that they can offer programming that only a few people will view as a justification for their business model is a load of CRAP! But Congress will whore themselves to anybody with money except the actual people they are there to represent. That leaves the consumer with only one choice.
What we need is a movement for we the people to gain control over this problem. For every customer they lose they get two new ones, so why should they care. There is another sucker calling in after you complain, complaining has no effect. What is needed, no required, is for people to call in mass and tell them why you don't like their service and then tell you want to cancel. Then when they try to bride you to keep paying them, don't let it work. Tell them NO, you can't be bought, that you want it your way or not at all. If this were done by tens of thousands of subscribers then they will get the message and it may change. but your single complaint is meaningless. To have any effect, the providers have to feel it, and the only place they have any feeling is in the wallet.
Maybe we should get together, set a week, where we all cancel the service we don't like. If you don't like getting screwed, you leave, if you don't leave, then you must like getting screwed. It's as simple as that, bend over, here comes another fee increase. If you don't cancel, then shut up and except being a bottom! SUCKERS!
Lets do it, lets take control of this. We really are the ones with the power, if we choose to be. Start a blog, do something, but sitting there and whining will do nothing. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! Throw the "bleep" s out! Do you really need 150 channels?
