Vonage Complaint - Trying to disconnect
Just tried to cancel my Vonage account after one year of service.
First off you cannot do this online, like everything else in Vonage, I had to wait 20 minutes to get a customer service representative Then after going through all the information I was told there would be a $79 disconnect fee. I asked why. They said because it was within one year. I asked when the one year would be up I was told in three days on Feb 10th. I asked them to put the disconnect order in for the 10th. They said they were unable to do this I had to call back in three days. I asked to speak with Manager, who basically gave me the same info. After checking my online account (which they have access to) I confirmed that my service was started on Feb 7 not Feb 10th. That was the account creation date and the date the billed me account.
Once again I a called back up. Twenty minutes later back on the line with customer representative Same thing. I explained terms of contract said one year from date of contract February 07 not 10th. They said that's the billing cycle nothing they can do. Spoke with Manager. Same thing. All this for three days. No help at all. So I will call back in three days and be done with Vonage personally forever. But everyone should know, as soon as you have to deal with their customer service they suck. And in the end that is what distinguishes these companies. I don't no who is better, I only know that Vonage Sucks.
