Dish Network Complaint - Dish is always screwing something up!
I have had Dish Network for over 3 Years now and every time I WANT TO upgrade it is a problem. About seven months ago I upgraded on dish to get the HD DVR receiver. I paid 150.00 for them to bring it out and install it plus I also had to sign a new contract. The first appt. no one every showed up and the were so sorry but the tech. had something come up and couldn't make the visit. Even though I had took a vacation day off work to have them come out I thought well sometimes things do come up and there is nothing we can do about it. So here I was taking another day off work for them to come out. Everything was hooked up and working great for four hours then the Dish would not work. I called and schedule another appt. for them to come back out which we couldn't schedule for another three days and here I was taking off work again for them. Come to find out the eye of the dish burnt out which I guess the TECH. says happens sometimes. Then I was trying to record to watch a movie later and found out they brought me the wrong receiver. So I called for them to bring me the right one and they said they were sorry but I would have to sign a new contract again which was not that big of a deal because it had not been that long since I signed the new one. I asked the CS department how much they were going to charge me for this visit since it was there fault they were having to come back out and they told me the needed my credit card to charge me 15.oo for the visit. I said ok even thought I was very irritated about the whole thing. Then I went online to look at my bill and they charged me another 95.00 for a tech visit. I called CS to talk to them about this and they said they were sorry but unless I was willing to pay 6.oo a month for a special serve fee then I would have to pay the 95.00 tech visit fee. o yea now I am really screwed because not only do I have to pay 95.00 I have just signed a new contract. Boy this is a great Company!
