Time Warner Complaint - No Superbowl viewing at Superbowl party
WOODLAND HILLS, CALIFORNIA -- We were watching the Superbowl at our party and very soon into the Superbowl (about 4:15 pm Pacific time), our cable goes out. I call Time Warner Cable and they were not helpful, rude and were not able to offer any help. I told them our cable was out. They tried to reboot the box and resend the signal. No change, we still can't get the channel (message says channel not available, will be momentarily or something to that effect. THey tell me they cannot fix it. They tell me they cannot send a tech out because only our house is affected and they don't send a tech out until 5 or 10 households are affected. "outage" does not apply to our case because it's only our house. Even though we can't get the signal, it's not an outage. So the only option we have is to wait until Tuesday for a technician. I told them that was not acceptable as we had a party going on with no Superbowl. THey said they couldn't do anything to fix it now. I asked for a supervisor: Janelle responded. She was extremely rude and would not let me speak while she was spewing out her speech. She actually said that they couldn't watch it either. Like that is supposed to fix the situation. She said we weren't a priority because it was just one house and the earliest appointment was Tuesday. I tried their chat line since calling proved to be of no help. On the chatline they apologized for the "inconvenience" and offered a credit of $6.50. Seriously: $6.50. We missed the superbowl and still don't have a cable signal.
